Elegance is on display as the liquid flows gently across the palate, offering freshness and clarity of juicy blackberry. Black tea enters mid-point, adding length with plum skins and a pinch of black pepper.

Milk-chocolate textured, chewy tannins frame expressive notes of blackberry and tobacco leaf. Fruit is elegant, juicy; extracted and fresh rather than jammy. Teeth-coating, dusted sandalwood adds length and complexity to the finish

Best Spring Whites

Honeysuckle and pear tart are rich and vibrant, poised for its unctuous mouthfeel. 100

Almonds, apple tart, and lemon blossom sidle with sizzling acidity and a clean, mineral finish.

Crystal clear notes of wet stone, lemon verbena and vanilla come across the palate like cut glass: linear and precise. But there’s more than texture; its zingy, reining in an inherent richness on the back end. Unique, daring, and incredibly intriguing.

Cherry cola, chocolate, and cinnamon-cranberry merge for a bright and shiny sipper, augmented by fine acidity and a wisp of white pepper.

The 2025 Chardonnay Estate comes from Barrancas, Maipú. Harvested early for a warm area, it opens with ripe citrus, a tropical touch, creamed corn and a lightly nutty character. Broad, creamy and delicately textured, it carries gentle fruit across the palate.

Bitter almond, warmed pecan, baked peach, date and salted caramel flavors are juicy and hedonistic in feel, while the dry edge of hazelnut husk and Brazil nut notes adds contrast and serious length. Drink now. 125 cases made, 25 cases imported.

The aromatics in the wine are fresh cantaloupe, citrus, pineapple, and florals, which are the top notes on the nose. The palate includes lime segments, figs, orange zest, dried herbs, minerals, and a dry finish.

The Cortonesi 2021 Brunello di Montalcino La Mannella opens to savory notes of dark fruit and spice, offering a medium-rich, velvety texture that strikes a fine balance between freshness and fruit weight. Soft, supple tannins contribute to an easy, flowing palate feel, giving the wine early appeal without sacrificing structure. The La Mannella site lies not far from Montosoli and benefits from relatively cool growing conditions. Vines were planted in 1983 and 1998, and production totals approximately 35,000 bottles. The wine reflects the cooler microclimate of the site, lending freshness to the naturally ripe 2021 vintage.

The Cortonesi 2021 Brunello di Montalcino Poggiarelli reflects the estate’s reputation for ripe yet balanced Sangiovese. Dark-spectrum flavors of blackberry and cherry dominate, and the wine shows a powerful, almost monolithic profile at this early stage. While tightly wound today, there is ample freshness to support further development with bottle age. Production is limited to 9,000 bottles. The wine emphasizes structure and depth, aligning with Cortonesi’s more muscular interpretation of Brunello. The wine is aged in French oak, something Tommaso Cortonesi says is necessary given the tannins and power of fruit from this spectacular site.

There’s strong value in this nicely balanced, highly versatile, medium-bodied white. Softly textured but not lacking structural definition, it features flavors recalling ripe pears and orchard fruits, with just enough acidity to freshen the finish and make this as promising for the table as for stand-alone sipping

This is a very well made rosé with juicy aromas and flavors of strawberry and watermelon that remain very fresh. Blended from 67% Syrah, 24% Merlot, 5% Pinot Gris, 2% Grenache, and 2% Mourvèdre, it offers ripe fruit flavors but no sugary sweetness. Fine acidity enlivens the flavors and makes this a promising partner for pairing with food or just for sipping.

Black currant and tobacco linger on the palate, tannins lush and generous. Dark roast coffee adds a lengthy note to the toasted almond finish.

Wisps of baking spices get this going aromatically, followed by flavors akin to baked apples and mandarin oranges.
