Reserva Merlot
The Terra Pura illustration on the label seeks to convey the importance of maintaining the ecosystem in which humans, plants and animals coexist. The trumpets/speakers at the apex of the illustration represent the importance of listening to what nature has to tell us.
Tasting Notes
This Merlot displays a deep red color with intense aromas of cherries, blueberries and a hint of black pepper. On the palate, it is smooth and silky, has good structure and a long, pleasant finish.
Vineyards
The grapes for this wine come from a warm-climate zone of the Curico Valley.
Winemaking
Hand-picked in mid-April, the grapes are crushed, and undergo 5 days of cold maceration at (10° C) in stainless steel tanks for 5 days. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures (27° C) for 8 days, with gentle, aerated pump overs. The wine is then aged in contact with French and American oak for 6 months.
