Vintage Blanc de Blancs
Tasting Notes
A captivating amber hue in the glass, hinting at its depth and complexity. On the nose, it offers a tantalizing array of aromas, including spicy notes of clove and pepper, along with rich empyreumatic tones of cocoa and cof-fee. Subtle pastry notes of cookie and vanilla add sweetness, complemented by refreshing hints of menthol and eucalyptus, as well as delicate acacia undertones. The palate is characterized by a woody essence intertwined with flavors of dried fruit and figs, further accentuated by mentholated richness.
Vintage Notes
The 1987 vintage was really challenging as we had to contend with a difficult growing season. The growing season encountered considerable difficulties as the summer season was unnaturally wet and cool. Good conditions during the harvest somehow rescued the vintage. Especially our crus located on the east side of the Montagne de Reims area, offered chardonnays with a nice acidity and concentration. The 1987 vintage is therefore rare but offers an unforgettable tasting experience.
