Tasting Notes
This Rosado displays a light rose color in the glass, with floral and fruity scents and flavors typical of the Touriga Nacional grape, especially roses and wild berries. The palate displays elegant tones, is fruity and round with a very fresh, lingering finish.
Vineyards
The grapes come from higher elevation vineyards on the Vallado Estate.
Winemaking
Vinified in the traditional “Bica Aberta” method, where the skins are in contact with the juice for only a few hours, giving it a pale pink coloration. After skin contact, fermentation continues for approximately one month at controlled temperatures between 57-59° F, and the wine is then aged for three months in stainless steel vats.
