Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon
The Terra Pura illustration on the label seeks to convey the importance of maintaining the ecosystem in which humans, plants and animals coexist. The trumpets/speakers at the apex of the illustration represent the importance of listening to what nature has to tell us.
Tasting Notes
This wine has an intense ruby-red color, with aromas of red fruits, blueberries, and plums – with an elegant floral touch. The palate is smooth, with rounded tannins and good volume – accompanied by a pleasant touch of oak. The wine ends up with a long and lingering finish.
Vineyards
The grapes for this wine come from Colchagua Valley, a warm zone with old colluvial and sedimentary clay soils. These are conditions that encourage good fruit concentration and spirited tannin structure.
Winemaking
Hand-picked from the end of April to the beginning of May, the grapes are crushed, and undergo 5 days of cold maceration at 50° F (10° C). Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 82.4 (28°C) over ten days. The wine was then aged in contact with French and American oak for 6 months.
