L10 Premium Malbec
Vintage:

This label is a collaboration between Bianchi and Argentine soccer superstar, Lionel Messi’s Charity Foundation. A portion of the proceeds of the sale of L10 wines will be donated to the Foundation, which focuses on healthcare and educational initiatives for socially disadvantaged children. The L10 Wines, made at Bodegas Bianchi with the guidance and input from the famous soccer player, are sourced from the Doña Elsa Estate in San Rafael, Mendoza, at 2560 feet above sea level. This is one of the coolest areas of San Rafael in sandy, calcareous soil of alluvial.
Tasting Notes
The 2022 has a deep purple color with an attractive magenta hue. Intense aromas include ripe plums, cherries, violets, mineral notes, vanilla, chocolate, and hints of spice. Harmonious on the palate with balanced acidity and delicate tannins, making for a persistent finish.
Vineyards
The grapes for L10 Premium Malbec come from 3 different terroirs: Agrelo (Lujan de Cuyo), Uco Valley, and from 3 different vineyards in San Rafael (Finca Dona Elsa, Finca Asti and Finca Costanza). The different soils and different micro-climates lead to complex aromas and flavors.
Winemaking
The grapes were hand-picked. Twenty percent of the wine spent 8 months in French oak. The remaining 80% was left in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for 8 months.
