Tasting Notes
This 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon shows the classic profile of dense fruit and powerful structure characteristic of the Goose Ridge Estate. Intense dark fruit notes are freshened and balanced by polished tannins, a supple, concentrated mid-palate and supported into a long, bold finish.
Vineyards
Goose Ridge Estate Winery is certified bySustainable WA, a 3rd party sustainability program for Washington grape growers. Sustainable WA is a framework of best management practices that focus on the three pillars of sustainability; environmental responsibility, social equity, and economic viability. Goose Ridge was one of the first to gain the certification.
Winemaking
The grapes for this blend were hand-harvested and gently processed into small vessels for fermentation. Fermentations were managed to regulate the development of concentrated flavors and soft tannins. The wines were aged in French oak (40% new & 60% neutral barrels) selected to express and frame the beautiful fruit with a nuanced oak character. Each barrel included in this wine was carefully selected for its balance of power and elegance. The wine spent 22 months in barrels before bottling.
