Overview

A wine of intense ruby color, the Bianchi Lacrado is the most popular traditional Argentine wine in the Valentin Bianchi portfolio. This wine exhibits robust intensity and a great, perfume-like nose. The palate is velvety-smooth, with a complex display of flavors. It has a medium-long, pleasing finish.

Wine Facts

Winemaker Notes
Situated between 2400 to 2500 feet above sea level, the grapes come primarily from Valentin Bianchi’s Finca Asti Estate, Doña Elsa Estate, and the Las Parades Estate, situated in Rama Caída, San Rafael, Mendoza. One of the coolest areas in San Rafael, the soil in Rama Caída is of sandy calcareous composition and alluvial origins. After they are picked by hand, the grapes go through standard crushing and fermenting, with periodic pump-over and maceration on skin for three weeks. Prior to bottling, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks and filtered.

Serving Hints
Lacrado is an ideal accompaniment to game meat, turkey, chicken and strong cheeses.
