Winemaker Notes
The 2017 vintage was about four weeks later than the previous five harvests. Mild temperatures through summer provided a slow and steady ramp up to vintage. March was warm, dry and ideal for ripening. Early April brought cooler than average temperatures with cool nights. These conditions proved ideal for Grenache resulting in exceptional varietal characters while retaining natural acidity and aromatics.

Sourced from two vineyards, these Grenache vines are old and low yielding. It is essential to hand-pick to protect the old vines. The vineyards are dry-grown and low yielding which produce grapes with great flavour, depth and intensity.
