Wine Facts
Winemaker Notes
The remarkable 50-years-old vines (and older) form one single, undivided vineyard circling the estate and benefit from optimal soil and microclimate conditions. Southern vineyard exposure to the sun allows the grapes to attain perfect ripening, using the Gobelet Trellis System, before they are harvested. Harvesting of this wine is done manually, in whole bunches and the grapes are unstemmed. Maceration occurs, using racking, and wine is aged in new Fondres (large French oak barrels) for one year, before spending eight months in the bottle.
Interesting Fact
The vineyards are owned by the Condemne family, long-time growers in the Julienas Cru that have worked with the Duboeufs for many years.
