Tinto Figuero Reserva 15 Months in Barrel 2004

Tinto Figuero Reserva 15 Months in Barrel 2004Garcia Figuero’s Fifteen Months In Barrel is a bright, clean wine, cherry-red in color with red reflections bordering on the luminescent, and long, thick legs.  Complex aromatic aromas combine ripened fruit – dates and plums – with balsamic and liquorice notes and an ending of cedar and vanilla.  Powerful in the mouth, the wine is well-balanced and its pleasant tannins bring harmony and balsamic notes to the long, intense finish.

An additional 14 days of maturation follow, with malolactic fermentation taking place. The wine is aged for fifteen months in new barrels (95-percent American and 5-percent French oak). It then spends an additional 21 months ageing in bottle before leaving the cellar.
