Wine Facts

Winemaker Notes
The Pinot Grigio grapes come from D.O.C. Collio area in Friuli Venezia Giulia region, in northeastern Italy. Manual harvest took place at the end of August, 2018. After a slightly grapes pressing and a clarification of the must, the fermentation starts at controlled temperatures for about 15-20 days. All winemaking and refinement happen in stainless steel tanks. After approximately six months, the wine is ready to be bottled.

Interesting Fact:
The story about the label artwork: The calm gentle hillsides that runs along the river bank of the Isonzo River is planted with grapes that are produced with love and care as well as a reverence for the sacred ground beneath. Luana, a name that which means “graceful battle maiden”, stands watch a century later over this sobering land and river once known in this region as the Great War. The river known as the “emerald beauty” for its striking color and “the river of souls” for the hundreds of thousands of solders that lost their lives.
